Morgan Bourc’his has collaborated with TUDOR for over a decade on various exciting projects,
embodying the Born to Dare spirit in oceans worldwide.
Born in 1978 in Touraine, France, Morgan Bourc’his discovered his passion for swimming at an early age, but it was at 22 that he truly answered the ocean’s call. Moving to Marseille, he plunged headfirst into the exhilarating world of freediving. His exceptional talent catapulted him to the elite ranks, and as a proud member of the French national team, he won the World Champion in the constant weight without fins (CNF) category not once, but three times.
In 2008, he shattered the French record (which was previously held by Umberto Pelizzari at -85 metres) with a breathtaking dive to -89 metres, only to push the limits even further in 2017, plunging to -90 metres. Bourc’his solidified his legacy in 2019 by reaching an astounding depth of -91 metres, a feat that cements his status as one of the greatest freedivers in history. His journey is a testament to his fearless spirit and unwavering dedication to conquering the depths of the ocean.
In 2014, Bourc’his embarked on an exhilarating partnership with TUDOR for the legendary Pelagos diving watch advertisement. The captivating ad showcased Bourc’his walking along the ocean floor as if striding on solid ground while uncovering ancient Greek ruins etched with the word "Pelagos" — meaning "ocean." Wearing a TUDOR Pelagos on his wrist, he epitomised the brand’s fearless adventurous spirit.
This thrilling collaboration marked the beginning of a remarkable journey, as Bourc’his soon became an official TUDOR ambassador, celebrated for his daring mastery of the extreme sport of freediving. His connection to the brand is not just a partnership; it’s a bold alliance that embodies TUDOR's born-to-dare spirit by pushing boundaries and exploring the depths of the unknown.
In 2020, Bourc’his undertook a daring journey to locate orcas in the icy fjords of Norway for the feature-length documentary The Quest For Nature, a film that captivated audiences upon its release. His ongoing partnership with TUDOR pushes the limits of both freediving and storytelling, as he inspires others to dive into their adventures. Currently, Bourc’his leads exhilarating trips and expeditions, sharing the secrets of going deeper with aspiring freedivers, while also teaching classes at The CREPS Institution. You’ll find him spearheading Born To Dare experiences with TUDOR around the globe, embodying the spirit of adventure and the thrill of the unknown.
