THE ROLEX 1908
THE NEW FACE OF EXCELLENCE
The 1908 watch from Rolex represents the brand's ongoing commitment to excellence, combining classic elements with a modern twist. It draws inspiration from one of the first Rolex watches with a Perpetual rotor, and is the first model in the Perpetual collection. The watch is named after the year in which the 'Rolex' trademark was officially registered in Switzerland.
The hands, hour markers, and domed bezel with fine fluting are all characteristic of the brands watchmaking heritage, creating an interplay of light and shadow that gives the watch a refined appearance. The 1908 comes in 18ct yellow or white gold with a white or black dial and a slim case. The transparent case back provides fresh visual angles, displaying an exclusively adorned mechanism. Its movement, the calibre 7140 with small seconds, is Superlative Chronometer certified, demonstrating their expertise in both technology and design. Apart from the advancements that resulted in submitting five patent applications, this watch's movement is custom-made and showcases the Rolex Côtes de Genève ornamentation, as well as an 18-carat yellow gold oscillating weight with a cut-out design. The watch is mounted on an alligator leather strap with a green lining and is equipped with the new Dualclasp.
The 1908 is a classic timepiece that blends traditional spirit with modernity, showcasing exceptional watchmaking skills and opening a new path in the brand's history.
