INSIDE TUDOR'S NEW MANUFACTURE
Discover TUDOR's historic first-ever dedicated manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland. The TUDOR Manufacture, adorned in TUDOR red, occupies four levels spanning 5,500 square meters and is linked to the adjacent Kenissi Manufacture, established in 2016 as the TUDOR movement production site. Through Kenissi and affiliated TUDOR-owned entities, the brand has achieved vertical integration for crafting high-performance mechanical calibres, enabling mastery over strategic component manufacturing and ensuring quality control. All TUDOR watches are Swiss-made under the brand's supervision to uphold the exceptional quality of its timepieces.
Throughout its history, TUDOR watches have been favoured by daring adventurers for their reliability and affordability in various terrains: land, sea, and ice. Key models in the TUDOR collection include Pelagos, Black Bay, 1926, and Royal. Since 2015, TUDOR has introduced superior mechanical Manufacture Calibres, like the MT5612 powering the Pelagos. The TUDOR Manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland, marks the brand's first fully dedicated industrial facility in its century-long history, situated near the Swiss-French border.
A LANDMARK FACILITY
Every TUDOR watch, including Master Chronometer-certified models, is meticulously assembled and tested to meet TUDOR's superior standards. The facility seamlessly integrates traditional watchmaking expertise with advanced production technologies.
A SIGNATURE LOOK
Construction of the TUDOR Manufacture began in 2018 to relocate assembly operations closer to affiliates and suppliers in the Jura mountains from Geneva. Its proximity to a Rolex facility, established in 1970, made it the ideal site. The distinctive red building was completed in 2021 and officially opened in March 2023 during Watches and Wonders. The façade features bright red for TUDOR and silvery grey for Kenissi, ensuring visual harmony. Sage Glass-equipped bay windows adjust light transmission for energy efficiency, supplemented by solar panels on the roof and renewable energy from the Swiss grid, emphasising sustainability.
THE DAWN OF A NEW REA
The TUDOR Shield, a symbol of strength, was installed in October 2021, marking the completion of the Manufacture. Introduced in 1969 to represent robustness, it now symbolizes engineering and manufacturing excellence. The Manufacture in Le Locle heralds a new era for TUDOR, embodying a vision of human-centric watchmaking empowered by technology. Every detail, from watchmaker benches to surrounding greenery, reflects meticulous consideration. This commitment aligns with TUDOR's mission to offer exceptional luxury watches at accessible prices, ensuring a legacy of quality for years to come.
BIODIVERSITY AND VISUAL HARMONY
Preserving the natural environment around the TUDOR Manufacturer was paramount during development. Measures were taken to avoid disrupting the flow of the Bied River, and grass is trimmed only once annually to minimize disturbance. All planted flora are native to the Jura region to maintain biodiversity. The interior design mirrors the exterior with a consistent TUDOR red and black/grey colour scheme, promoting visual unity. Ergonomically designed furniture prioritises comfort and safety for watchmakers, ensuring a cohesive and functional workspace.
