Baker Brothers Director, Lizzie McAuley, said:
“Our community fund will continue our Dad’s legacy as he did so much for children’s charities and it was always our plan to carry this on in his memory. Baker Brothers have always contributed to a variety of community causes through a combination of donations and raffle prizes to boost fundraising efforts, but we wanted to do so much more to help. During the pandemic, we saw how it brought the community back together and highlighted how important it is to look after your community.”

There is a range of different ways the Baker Brothers Community Fund will provide help to schools, charities, community groups, sports clubs and good causes based in the Bedfordshire area.

With the aim to help provide educational experiences, support, sponsorship and donations for community causes throughout the next year and beyond. We are keen to hear from local groups, charities, clubs and teams who need our support.

Lizzie added:
“People know we’re a family-run firm, their local jeweller; however it’s also nice to give something back on a personal level. Establishing the Baker Brothers Community Fund will take our ongoing local support to another level, it’s that feel-good factor of giving to those in the community that need help the most.”

There will be lots of exciting upcoming opportunities for local causes to apply for support from our Community Fund and help raise awareness about all their good work in the process.
